The good thing about Hippies is that they could serve as appetizers for zombies. give them a 5 day "joint" supply and loud Bob Marley´s songs and they´re going to think that they´re in a rave with some stinking friends like them. When they start to miss a foot or an arm it´s gonna be too late for them. Wink

A casle is a very good Idea, my option is a log cabin (with defensive perimeter of course) in the middle of the Sierra Tarahumara, I know the perfect spot near the Copper Canyon, it´s surrounded by mountains and a thick forest, spring water available and kind of isolated. That´s why I´ll need my fart... ejem! ...gas cooker. jeje Laughing

well, see you later!

Life under the sea like in Captain Nemo and the Underwater City is the only way to survive. Lock out the dead and get use to growing some fins.

Something like "Dead October", right?
Laughing
It's not my preferred way to survive, I'm a bit calustrophobic... In addition to this: how you will manage to maintain the submarine working when the world as we know is no more?

Maybe a large underwater cavern that one can filter water and air in from the sea water. It's a plan but very expensive, maybe only applicable to James Bond supervillains Laughing Laughing

Hello Boogeyman!

An underwater seclusion is not my idea for a long term survival solution. however, a submarine can be a good (and elegant) option for a fine scape from a coastal overruned city. Wink

See you arround!

There was a Hollywood 50's 60's movie about a sub that surfaces after a nuclear war with quite a famous cast. I think in they end they go to Australia.

I think it is this one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0053137/

On the Beach, 1959

Plot summary for
On the Beach (1959)

In 1964, nuclear war wipes out humanity in the northern hemisphere; one American submarine finds temporary safe haven in Australia, where life-as-usual covers growing despair. In denial about the loss of his wife and children in the holocaust, American Captain Towers meets careworn but gorgeous Moira Davidson, who begins to fall for him. The sub returns after reconnaissance a month (or less) before the end; will Towers and Moira find comfort with each other? Written by Rod Crawford {puffinus@u.washington.edu}

A US submarine is on patrol when the Northern Hemisphere is destroyed by nuclear war. They land in Melbourne, Australia where they live with the rest of the city which has less than 12 months to live. They travel back to the west cost of the US and witness the holocaust. Written by Anonymous

Someone, somewhere, pressed the button and started World War III. Australia has survived - temporarily. The radiation is on it's way, the end inevitable. This is the story of the way in which people faced the coming end, focusing mainly on a young Australian couple and their friends, including the captain of an American submarine that was on patrol in the Pacific when the bombs were falling. And then the Australians detect a morse signal coming from somewhere around San Diego... Written by Sonya Roberts {sonya_roberts@geocities.com}
