A good zombie movie and that's all, because there is no trails about monstruosity idea. Neville is always the good guy, and the vampires are stupid and are guided by a furious rage as in 28 days later.
So we get the typical zombie apocalypse with Will Smith trying to survive.
The best moments are the ones when Smith try to comunicate with the mannequins (resembling "The world, the flesh and the devil" and "The Quiet Earth").

Yes, Father, the one with Heston on it is my favorite too. This new version has also very good moments: Smith hunting deers at 150 mph throug a devasted New York, beautiful views of the post-apocalyptic city, a handful of tension moments against the living-dead (they look and act as fast zombies with a bit of inteligence), the conversations wint the mannequins and so on... but none of truly matheson spirit. But you will enjoy the film, Father, I did it...
