Zombies in the Big Brother house over the last 5 nights ending on Halloween tonight. Excellent series written by the Guardian TV critic!

How come I'm the only one who mentioned Halloween recently, surely Day of the Dead festivals and other customs must be far bigger in the spanish speaking world than cold old Yorkshire in England? We ended up playing Cluedo with a few friends and eating crap and then watching the final episode of Dead Set, great way to cap the night.

At least you had your own party, down here, we were too busy with bebino so, we had not enough time to bake pan de muerto or ask for trick or treat.

Maybe next year. Rolling Eyes

XD
I spend that night viewing Dead Set too, father! Gorgeous series! Only a triffid left for being perfect, jejejejeje...

Here iin Spain there was no all hallows eve custom. We used to celebrate the next day, as "Día de todos los Santos". We used to go to the cemetery to bring flowers to our deceased loved ones, and in the afternoon, went to the theatre to see a "Don Juan Tenorio" play (a romantic XVIII century play by Zorrilla). Now, we get disguised and put pumkins everywhere as we came from Kentucky. The old customs replaced by the globalized world, you know...

Yes it is a globalised world as in the UK it used to be turnips we used now we have a vast amount of pumpkins each year, luckily though I love pumpkin soup Very Happy We sent all the witches off on the Mayflower for them to torture for a few hundred years in New England Laughing Laughing Laughing I love celebrating certain festivals, even if imported, as long as we don't get too much sugar candied bits, I;ve seen the Tooth Fairy and he's not getting me Sad

We like our exports to be like those in Cuba after the Bay of Pigs when Castro emptied his prisons and said these were the people who wanted to leave Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing

Great series but no further ones planned, then again everyone was killed. The writer had his own TV programme and writes for the Guardian newspaper.
